The Open Hearth has proved to be an effective, efficient
organization in serving the needs of homeless and addicted
men in Greater Hartford for more than 120 years. The results
of our efforts are extraordinary considering our lean staff and
lean operating budget. We always work diligently to exceed
fundraising standards by investing 81 cents of every dollar
directly into programs and services, and we hold membership
in the renowned Association of Fundraising Professionals.
Our mission is to "help men help themselves." Every year,
this objective is realized as literally hundreds of men (and
their families) are positively impacted by our efforts. Sadly,
the most significant barrier to serving more people is purely monetary. Your involvement in and support of our agency is integral to our ability to provide care for those most in need. We are pleased that hundreds of individuals, foundations, corporations and organizations have partnered with us financially over the years. You'll find as you peruse our website that there are many opportunities for YOU to support The Open Hearth with your time and resources, and you can be assured that we will always strive to manage your gifts with a keen sense of accountability and gratitude.
Will you join us in our efforts to provide hope to area men in need? Thank you for caring.
